Olu Obembe is Vice President of Engineering at Salesforce. In this role, he leads engineering teams in innovation, building AI-enabled infrastructure that is resilient, highly available, and delivers a first in-class customer experience. Olu has more than 2 decades in engineering. At Salesforce he's tasked with developing transformative services, such as delivering cloud-native enterprise infrastructure and software, enablement technologies, workflow engines, runtime-engines, read-scaling, database connectivity, database health management, database scalability, global replication and many others - securing 9 patents ranging from managing database failure to recovering from service disruptions..
He has a passion for empowering people to discover the best of themselves and has contributed led various community building initiatives for mentorship, leadership development, partnered with academic institutions to develop pre-internship program with hands-on, immersive experience to make students internship ready. Olu earned a Bachelor's of Science in Software Engineering from the University of Windsor and a Master's of Science in Software Engineering from the University of Michigan.
